Arena Offshore Hosts U.S. Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum at WFD400

THE GULF OF AMERICA, May 1, 2025Arena Offshore, LP (“Arena”), a leading offshore oil and gas operator focused on the Gulf of America Shelf and the exclusive operator for Arena Energy, LLC, was proud to host U.S. Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum today at its offshore oil rig WFD400 in the Gulf of America. The visit, featured in a special segment by Fox & Friends Weekend with Charlie Hurt, highlighted the companies’ contributions to American energy independence and showcased their commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and the dedicated workforce powering the nation’s energy sector. 

Secretary Burgum met with Arena’s leadership and platform workers to discuss the vital role of offshore energy production in strengthening the U.S. economy. The WFD400, located in the Outer Continental Shelf, are key assets in Arena and White Fleet’s portfolio, delivering reliable energy to meet America’s growing demand.

Secretary Burgum praised the companies’ leadership in the energy sector, aligning their efforts with the administration’s push to streamline regulations and boost domestic oil production. “Today is certainly a day where we are not only celebrating the Gulf of America but we’re celebrating American Entrepreneurship,” said Secretary Burgum. “Their innovation has led to billions of dollars of additional revenue to the Federal Government through leasing and royalties and it’s led to billions of additional resources for America.” 

The Fox & Friends Weekend segment, hosted by Charlie Hurt, showcased the advanced technologies and safety protocols employed at WFD400, bringing national attention to the vital role of offshore energy production. The visit aligns with recent Department of the Interior initiatives to enhance drilling efficiency in the Gulf of America and expand oil and gas lease sales, projected to increase regional production by 100,000 barrels per day over the next decade.
