The event gathered industry leaders, landmen, and energy professionals to explore key topics in the oil and gas sector, with Mike’s speech centering on humanity’s unique ability to adapt to change and the critical role technology and thus energy plays in that process.

Mike Vallejo has served as CFO at Arena Energy since 2013 and was named President in 2024, bringing strong leadership to finance and strategic planning. In his keynote, he spoke of how humans excel at adapting to shifting conditions and highlighted the fallacy of the current energy transition movement. He emphasized that leveraging technology as our evolutionary superpower requires energy that is reliable, scalable and low cost.
